[00:13.40]The move comes after an incident that took place Saturday. [00:18.84]A Boeing 777's engine blew apart [00:23.56]during a United Airlines flight shortly after takeoff. [00:29.56]The airplane landed in the U.S. city of Denver with all passengers safe. [00:37.08]Boeing urged airlines to suspend [00:40.28]use of all 777s with the same kind of engine. [00:45.64]It is called the Pratt & Whitney 4000-112. [00:51.76]Most airlines flying planes with those engines [00:55.92]said they would temporarily suspend their use. [01:00.84]The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement [01:06.16]it was calling for increased inspections of 777s [01:11.60]using the Pratt & Whitney 4000-112 engines. [01:18.16]Boeing said 69 aircraft with that kind of engine were in service. [01:25.36]Another 59 planes were in storage. [01:29.36]The FAA said United Airlines is the only American-based airline [01:35.80]using planes with the Pratt & Whitney 4000-112 engine. [01:43.00]The company said on Sunday that it had voluntarily removed [01:47.72]from service 24 active 777 planes with that engine. [01:55.20]Two Japanese airlines – Japan Airlines and ANA [02:00.16]– announced they had suspended the use [02:03.44]of all 777 aircraft with the engines. [02:09.12]South Korea's Asiana Airlines also grounded its planes, [02:14.16]while Korean Air said it was discussing whether [02:17.92]to suspend use of the aircraft. [02:20.96]Boeing said it was working with regulators in the U.S. [02:26.20]and other countries to examine the planes. [02:30.84]They are to be examined by inspectors [02:33.92]from engine maker Pratt & Whitney. [02:38.12]The weekend emergency landing of the United plane [02:42.36]was the latest trouble for Boeing. [02:46.32]The company's 737 Max planes were grounded, [02:50.88]or barred from flying, for more than a year [02:54.28]after two deadly crashes in 2019. [02:59.56]The Max planes began returning to service late last year, [03:04.48]but the company lost billions of dollars during the flight ban. [03:11.08]Boeing has also suffered from major drops in air travel [03:15.88]related to the coronavirus pandemic. [03:19.64]Video posted on Twitter from Saturday's emergency [03:24.64]showed the engine on fire as the plane flew through the air. [03:30.80]Other pictures posted on social media [03:34.08]appeared to show a broken fan blade in the engine. [03:38.52]Passengers, who were on their way to Hawaii, [03:42.40]said they feared the plane would crash [03:45.28]after they heard an explosion and saw a bright flash of light. [03:51.52]The explosion, which could be seen from the ground, [03:55.16]left a cloud of black smoke in the sky. [03:58.76]People on the ground saw large pieces of the aircraft fall. [04:04.40]One piece narrowly missed hitting a home, [04:07.96]The Associated Press reported. [04:11.56]The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board [04:15.04]said two of the engine's fan blades were broken [04:19.12]and the remaining blades showed damage. [04:23.28]Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism [04:29.00]said an engine in the Pratt & Whitney 4000 family [04:33.28]suffered trouble on a Japan Airlines 777 [04:38.16]flying to Tokyo from Naha on December 4. [04:43.60]The airline has said the plane had engine difficulties [04:47.72]after takeoff and returned to Naha. [04:51.76]An inspection showed damage to the engine's structure [04:55.84]and missing fan blades, Japan Airlines said. [05:01.56]Increased inspection methods were ordered [05:04.72]as a result of the incident. [05:07.40]I'm Bryan Lynn. [05:09.84]更多听力请访问21VOA.COM
