[00:00.04]Google has launched a tool
[00:02.48]designed to mark identity on images
[00:06.68]created by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
[00:12.16]The American-based search engine
[00:15.20]and online advertising company
[00:17.68]announced the new tool in a statement Tuesday.
[00:21.56]Google has already made the system available
[00:25.80]to a limited number of beta testers.
[00:29.08]Google plans to expand its use in the future.
[00:33.84]A team at Google Deep Mind developed the tool,
[00:38.96]called SynthID, in partnership with Google Research.
[00:44.28]SynthID is designed to work
[00:47.76]with Google's AI image creator Imagen.
[00:52.00]That system creates full film-quality images
[00:56.92]from simple text commands.
[00:59.72]For now, only Imagen users will be able to use
[01:04.28]the AI identifying tool.
[01:07.16]SynthID works by creating a hidden,
[01:11.48]digital "watermark" on images.
[01:14.68]Watermarks have long been used
[01:17.72]with paper documents and money
[01:20.60]as a way to mark them as being real, or authentic.
[01:25.00]With this method, paper can be held up to a light
[01:29.48]to see if a watermark exists and the document is authentic.
[01:35.80]A digital watermark serves the same purpose.
[01:39.80]But it uses technology to digitally embed
[01:44.48]hidden markers in images.
[01:47.32]These watermarks are hard to see by just looking at an image.
[01:52.48]Instead, special tools are needed to identify the watermark.
[01:58.24]Google says the digital watermark is designed
[02:03.08]to help individuals and companies
[02:06.20]identify whether an image
[02:08.56]has been created by AI tools or not.
[02:12.48]This could help people recognize
[02:15.84]inauthentic pictures published online
[02:19.00]and also protect copyright-protected images.
[02:23.40]Technology experts have identified these issues
[02:28.16]as two of the biggest problems with AI creation tools –
[02:33.36]they can increase the amount of misinformation online
[02:38.00]and they can violate copyrights.
[02:40.92]Last month, Google's parent Alphabet
[02:44.76]joined other major technology companies
[02:48.08]in agreeing to establish watermark tools
[02:52.08]to help make AI technology safer.
[02:55.80]The companies – including Facebook parent Meta,
[03:00.32]Microsoft-backed AI developer OpenAI
[03:04.32]and online seller Amazon –
[03:07.16]made the agreement during a meeting
[03:09.60]with U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House.
[03:13.52]They promised to fully develop and test
[03:17.60]watermarking tools for content
[03:20.36]including text, audio and video.
[03:24.80]Google said its system embeds a digital watermark
[03:29.92]directly into the details of an image.
[03:33.08]The tool can be used for "connecting people
[03:37.04]with high-quality information and upholding trust
[03:41.56]between creators and users across society."
[03:46.44]Developers of the SynthID system
[03:50.24]said it is built to keep the watermark in place
[03:54.56]even if the image itself is changed by creative tools
[03:59.28]designed to resize pictures or add additional light or color.
[04:04.88]The tool can add a hidden watermark
[04:08.44]to AI-produced images created by Imagen.
[04:13.04]SynthID can also examine an image
[04:16.64]to find a digital watermark
[04:19.16]that was embedded with the Imagen system.
[04:22.48]Google says it will continue to test the watermarking tool
[04:28.44]and hopes to collect many user experiences
[04:32.44]from the current beta testers.
[04:35.12]And the company looks forward to adding the system
[04:39.04]to other Google products
[04:41.16]and making it available to more individuals and organizations.
[04:47.12]In addition to SynthID,
[04:49.84]Google also announced Tuesday the launch of additional AI tools
[04:55.28]designed for businesses and structural improvements
[04:59.92]to its computing systems.
[05:02.04]Those systems are used to produce AI tools,
[05:06.84]also known as large language models.
[05:10.80]Google made public a new version
[05:13.76]of its self-designed AI computing chips.
[05:17.76]The company says the new chip, called TPU v5e,
[05:23.68]was built to train large computer models,
[05:27.24]but also more effectively serve those models.
[05:31.16]Google also released new versions of software and security tools
[05:37.08]designed to work with AI systems.

END OF TRACK. "END OF TRACK." The two men bowed. "Whoever was that person you were talking to?" she enquired, as soon as they stood together. The took of triumph faded from her eyes, she had grown worn and weary. The roses were wilting on the walls, the lights were mostly down now. Hetty, looking in to see if anything was wanted, found herself driven away almost fiercely. I only saw Master Jervie once when he called at tea time, The year 1747 was opened by measures of restriction. The House of Lords, offended at the publication of the proceedings of the trial of Lord Lovat, summoned the parties to their bar, committed them to prison, and refused to liberate them till they had pledged themselves not to repeat the offence, and had paid very heavy fees. The consequence of this was that the transactions of the Peers were almost entirely suppressed for nearly thirty years from this time, and we draw our knowledge of them chiefly from notes taken by Horace Walpole and Lord Chancellor Hardwicke. What is still more remarkable, the reports of the House of Commons, being taken by stealth, and on the merest sufferance, are of the most meagre kind, sometimes altogether wanting, and the speeches are given uniformly under fictitious names; for to have attributed to Pitt or Pelham their[112] speeches by name would have brought down on the printers the summary vengeance of the House. Many of the members complained bitterly of this breach of the privileges of Parliament, and of "being put into print by low fellows"; but Pelham had the sense to tolerate them, saying, "Let them alone; they make better speeches for us than we can make for ourselves." Altogether, the House of Commons exhibited the most deplorable aspect that can be conceived. The Ministry had pursued Walpole's system of buying up opponents by place, or pension, or secret service money, till there was no life left in the House. Ministers passed their measures without troubling themselves to say much in their behalf; and the opposition dwindled to Sir John Hinde Cotton, now dismissed from office, and a feeble remnant of Jacobites raised but miserable resistance. In vain the Prince of Wales and the secret instigations of Bolingbroke and Doddington stimulated the spirit of discontent; both Houses had degenerated into most silent and insignificant arenas of very commonplace business. "It certainly will be. Miss Widgeon," answered Maria, with strictly "company manners." "One who has never had a brother exposed to the constant dangers of army life can hardly understand how glad we all feel to have Si snatched from the very jaws of death and brung back to us." "Just plug at 'em as you would at a crow, and then go on your way whistlin'?" persisted Harry. "Hurroo!" echoed Hennessey; "that's the ticket." "Come forward, keeper," continued the baron, "and state how these arrows came into your hands!" "Yes." HoMEJULIA京香2018下载
