[00:15.32]Two bombs exploded at Zaventem airport about 8 in the morning [00:21.04]near the Swissport airline passenger area and a Starbucks coffee shop. [00:26.36]At least 11 people were killed in the two airport bombings. [00:32.24]About an hour later, another bomb exploded [00:35.96]at the Maelbeek metro station during rush hour. [00:39.72]A spokesman for the Brussels Metro system said [00:43.72]the explosion on a train killed as many as 20 people and injured 55. [00:51.12]The metro station is also near the European Union headquarters. [00:57.04]Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel told reporters [01:01.36]"This is a black moment in our country. [01:04.76]Everyone please be calm and show solidarity. [01:09.44]What we feared has come to pass. [01:12.36]Our country has been struck by attacks [01:15.52]which are blind, violent and cowardly." [01:19.88]In a statement, French President Francois Hollande said, [01:24.92]"Through the attacks in Brussels, the whole of Europe has been hit." [01:30.40]The French prime minister added, [01:33.00]"We are at war. We have been subjected [01:36.40]for the last few months in Europe to acts of war." [01:40.74]In Havana, Cuba, President Barack Obama said, [01:45.52]"We will do whatever is necessary to support our friend [01:49.72]and ally Belgium in bringing to justice those who are responsible. [01:55.24]And this is yet another reminder [01:57.68]that the world must unite regardless of nationality or race or faith [02:03.72]in fighting against the scourge of terrorism." [02:07.56]After the explosions, officials in Belgium closed the airport, [02:12.76]metro system, other train stations, schools, shopping areas and museums. [02:20.28]They told people who had not already departed for work to stay home. [02:26.00]And they told those already at their offices to remain there. [02:31.28]Belgian officials also released a photo taken from closed circuit TV [02:37.40]of three men with luggage carts. [02:40.96]They said two of them were the suicide bombers [02:44.64]and that the third — dressed in a light-colored coat, [02:48.72]black hat and glasses — was at large. [02:52.72]Police later found a nail-filled bomb, [02:56.76]chemical products and an Islamic State flag [03:00.88]while searching a house in the Schaerbeek neighborhood. [03:04.76]The attacks happened just days after the arrest of Salah Abdeslam in Brussels. [03:11.52]He is accused of being one of the leaders [03:14.28]of the deadly Paris terrorist attacks in November. [03:18.47]Some experts feared that his supporters [03:22.00]would answer his arrest with attacks in Brussels. [03:25.96]I'm Jonathan Evans. [03:27.84]更多听力请访问21VOA.COM
