[00:31.05]It says more than one million people are still at evacuation centers. [00:37.04]In the Manila area, several thousand people [00:41.93]fled their homes because of the storm. [00:45.22]Rescue teams from the United States, Japan, Australia [00:50.77]and Singapore are studying the damage. [00:54.06]The storm is not expected to leave the Philippines until Thursday. [00:59.60]Thirty rights and aid groups are calling on the international community [01:05.95]to help 180,000 Syrians [01:10.19]who have fled fighting in their country. [01:13.33]The groups are asking governments from the Gulf area [01:17.85]and Latin America to help with resettlement efforts. [01:22.97]Separately, the UN refugee agency is holding a conference this week in Geneva [01:30.47]to discuss resettlement of Syrian refugees. [02:17.22]There has been an increase in militant violence [02:22.25]since local elections began in Indian Kashmir November 25. [02:28.45]Many people have marked ballots, [02:32.50]although Muslim separatist leaders have urged people to boycott the vote. [02:39.93]India and Pakistan both claim all of Kashmir. [02:45.84]Rebel groups have been fighting against Indian rule in Kashmir since 1989. [02:53.98]An overcrowded bus fell off a mountain road in western Nepal late Sunday. [03:02.07]At least 17 people were killed and 50 injured. [03:06.88]There were 67 people on the bus, which had just 38 seats.
