[00:00.04]United States President Donald Trump has "mild symptoms" of COVID-19
[00:06.40]after announcing Friday that tests showed
[00:09.72]that he and his wife Melania have the coronavirus.
[00:15.32]Trump wrote on Twitter early Friday,
[00:18.80]"Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19.
[00:24.44]We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately.
[00:29.76]We will get through this TOGETHER!"
[00:33.88]The White House also released a letter from the president's physician
[00:38.24]to confirm that they both tested positive for the virus.
[00:44.32]Speaking to reporters on Friday morning,
[00:47.56]White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said,
[00:50.84]"The President does have mild symptoms,"
[00:54.40]and that he "will remain on the job."
[00:58.88]So far, more than 7 million Americans have been infected
[01:03.76]with the new coronavirus.
[01:06.76]The deaths of more than 208,000 people
[01:11.04]in the U.S. have been tied to the virus.
[01:14.64]That is more than any other country.
[01:19.88]Trump has pushed for schools and businesses to re-open.
[01:25.32]He also held campaign events attended by many people
[01:29.76]who did not wear face coverings or practice social distancing.
[01:36.00]Just hours earlier on Thursday,
[01:39.12]the president said in a pre-recorded message to the Al Smith Dinner,
[01:44.24]"I just want to say that the end of the pandemic is in sight,
[01:49.00]and next year will be one of the greatest years
[01:52.52]in the history of our country."
[01:56.36]During Tuesday night's debate against former Vice President Joe Biden,
[02:01.48]he said, "I don't wear masks like him."
[02:05.84]In a tweet Friday morning, Biden said he and his wife Jill
[02:11.56]"send our thoughts to President Trump
[02:14.12]and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery.
[02:18.60]Biden added, "I'm happy to report
[02:22.28]that Jill and I have tested negative for COVID."
[02:27.56]And he reminded people to "wear a mask,
[02:31.04]keep social distance, and wash your hand."
[02:35.68]World leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin,
[02:40.36]British Prime Minister Boris Johnson
[02:43.12]and German Chancellor Angela Merkel offered their best wishes.
[02:49.80]The president's announcement raised concerns about administration officials.
[02:55.80]The White House has required daily testing for the president's top assistants.
[03:02.64]Anyone in close contact with the president
[03:06.52]or vice president is also tested every day, including news reporters.
[03:14.56]Vice President Mike Pence is next in line for the presidency.
[03:20.44]Tests on Friday showed that he did not have the virus.
[03:25.60]He "remains in good health," his spokesman said.
[03:30.48]Many administration officials were undergoing tests.
[03:34.84]And the White House Medical Unit was getting information
[03:38.40]on people who came in contact with the president.
[03:43.40]Before Trump announced he had the virus,
[03:46.04]the administration said an assistant, Hope Hicks, had tested positive.
[03:53.52]Hicks had been with Trump at Tuesday's presidential debate in Cleveland,
[03:58.80]along with members of the Trump family.
[04:03.16]An administration official told the Associated Press
[04:07.00]that Hicks began feeling mild symptoms during the plane ride home
[04:12.04]from a campaign event in Minnesota on Wednesday.
[04:16.96]She was kept apart from other passengers, the person said.
[04:23.36]It is unclear where the Trumps and Hicks may have caught the virus.
[04:28.64]But speaking to Fox News, Trump seemed to suggest
[04:33.56]it may have been spread by someone in the military
[04:36.84]or law enforcement in greetings.
[04:40.12]Trump is not the first world leader to test positive for the virus.
[04:46.52]Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro
[04:49.40]and Britain's Boris Johnson also got COVID-19.
[04:55.52]The prime minister spent a week in the hospital but has since recovered.

END OF TRACK. "END OF TRACK." The two men bowed. "Whoever was that person you were talking to?" she enquired, as soon as they stood together. The took of triumph faded from her eyes, she had grown worn and weary. The roses were wilting on the walls, the lights were mostly down now. Hetty, looking in to see if anything was wanted, found herself driven away almost fiercely. I only saw Master Jervie once when he called at tea time, The year 1747 was opened by measures of restriction. The House of Lords, offended at the publication of the proceedings of the trial of Lord Lovat, summoned the parties to their bar, committed them to prison, and refused to liberate them till they had pledged themselves not to repeat the offence, and had paid very heavy fees. The consequence of this was that the transactions of the Peers were almost entirely suppressed for nearly thirty years from this time, and we draw our knowledge of them chiefly from notes taken by Horace Walpole and Lord Chancellor Hardwicke. What is still more remarkable, the reports of the House of Commons, being taken by stealth, and on the merest sufferance, are of the most meagre kind, sometimes altogether wanting, and the speeches are given uniformly under fictitious names; for to have attributed to Pitt or Pelham their[112] speeches by name would have brought down on the printers the summary vengeance of the House. Many of the members complained bitterly of this breach of the privileges of Parliament, and of "being put into print by low fellows"; but Pelham had the sense to tolerate them, saying, "Let them alone; they make better speeches for us than we can make for ourselves." Altogether, the House of Commons exhibited the most deplorable aspect that can be conceived. The Ministry had pursued Walpole's system of buying up opponents by place, or pension, or secret service money, till there was no life left in the House. Ministers passed their measures without troubling themselves to say much in their behalf; and the opposition dwindled to Sir John Hinde Cotton, now dismissed from office, and a feeble remnant of Jacobites raised but miserable resistance. In vain the Prince of Wales and the secret instigations of Bolingbroke and Doddington stimulated the spirit of discontent; both Houses had degenerated into most silent and insignificant arenas of very commonplace business. "It certainly will be. Miss Widgeon," answered Maria, with strictly "company manners." "One who has never had a brother exposed to the constant dangers of army life can hardly understand how glad we all feel to have Si snatched from the very jaws of death and brung back to us." "Just plug at 'em as you would at a crow, and then go on your way whistlin'?" persisted Harry. "Hurroo!" echoed Hennessey; "that's the ticket." "Come forward, keeper," continued the baron, "and state how these arrows came into your hands!" "Yes." HoMEJULIA京香2018下载
