[00:17.00]This week, the social media app shared its list of top 100 videos in America. [00:25.80]The videos include a man skateboarding, singing, [00:29.92]and drinking cranberry juice on his way to work. [00:34.20]The director of creator community at TikTok is Kudzi Chikumbu. [00:40.04]He told the Associated Press that there is a main idea, [00:45.12]or "through line," connecting all these videos. [00:51.12]He said, "The through line is that these are videos [00:55.40]that brought joy and inspiration to millions of Americans [01:00.48]in a year that has been a bit of a whirlwind for everyone [01:05.84]as we all try to figure it out." [01:10.08]A whirlwind is a time filled with quickly changing events and feelings. [01:17.40]TikTok is especially popular among younger people [01:21.52]born between 1981 to 2012. [01:26.76]They experiment with effects like green screens to add different back drops. [01:33.44]Some have even become social media stars [01:37.32]called "influencers" with many followers. [01:42.32]The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" and Jason Derulo's "Savage Love" [01:48.08]inspired TikTok dance challenges that made them the top songs on the app. [01:55.44]For some TikTok creators, the coronavirus itself [01:59.80]became inspiration to create a connection with other users. [02:06.04]Caitlin Reilly used the app to make fun of co-workers on Zoom. [02:11.48]It became one of the top-liked videos. [02:16.32]Curtis Roach sang about endless days at home with his song [02:21.20]"Bored in the House" -- something people all over the world can relate to. [02:28.04]The second-most popular video was made by an Idaho man [02:32.72]named Nathan Apodaca. [02:36.56]He became famous with a video of himself [02:39.60]singing "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac while skateboarding on a road. [02:46.08]When talking about Apodaca's video, Chikumbu said, [02:50.20]"It's really about capturing an essence and a moment." [02:56.00]However, for those who have not used the app, [02:59.32]some of the videos may be hard to understand, [03:03.04]including the most-liked TikTok video. [03:07.64]In the video, Bella Poarch, a woman with 45 million followers, [03:13.32]simply moved her mouth, or lip-synced, to the words of a song. [03:19.40]She added a few seconds of well-timed head moving and eye rolling. [03:25.56]She has since launched her own businesses [03:29.12]and turned her art form into her career. [03:33.88]The app might be aimed at younger people. [03:37.48]However, Chikumbu said this year the growth of TikTok [03:42.68]has pushed it more into popular culture. [03:46.64]He said, "You're seeing everyone from the teenager to the college student [03:52.36]with their parents and their grandparents all making videos." [03:58.32]Some of the most-watched videos show people's homes. [04:02.96]Others show people making things like donuts. [04:06.76]All signs of the times. [04:10.40]I'm Anna Matteo. 更多听力请访问21VOA.COM
